Stainless Steel 348 Sheets and Plates are made from a stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy that includes Chromium (17–19%), Nickel (9–13%), and Niobium (Columbium), which boosts resistance to intergranular corrosion. The carbon content is kept low (≤0.08%) to enhance weldability and reduce carbide precipitation. These sheets boast a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 35–40%. The 348 alloy maintains its strength and corrosion resistance even in high-temperature and high-stress conditions, making it perfect for applications that involve frequent heating and cooling cycles.
