Stainless Steel 436 Angles are a type of ferritic stainless steel, enriched with Chromium (16–18%) and Molybdenum (0.75–1.25%) to boost their resistance to corrosion and oxidation, particularly in environments rich in chlorides and acids. This alloy also features low Carbon (≤0.03%) and a touch of Niobium for stabilization. In terms of mechanical properties, they boast a tensile strength of around 450 MPa, a yield strength of 280 MPa, and an elongation of 25%. Type 436 is known for its good thermal conductivity, excellent formability, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for moderately aggressive conditions and high-temperature applications.
