Inconel 718 foils are nickel-based superalloys with about 50-55% nickel, 17-21% chromium, and additions of iron, niobium, molybdenum, and titanium. This alloy composition has exceptional tensile strength to about 1,270 MPa and superior creep, fatigue, and oxidation resistance at temperatures of up to 700°C (1292°F). The alloy has good weldability, corrosion resistance, and toughness and retains mechanical integrity under extreme thermal and mechanical stresses.
