Stainless Steel 347 Channel is an austenitic stainless steel that’s stabilized with Niobium (Columbium), making it resistant to intergranular corrosion after welding. Its typical chemical makeup features Chromium (17–19%), Nickel (9–13%), and Niobium (≥10xC%), along with low Carbon (≤0.08%). In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–40%. This alloy retains its strength and oxidation resistance in high-temperature conditions up to 870°C. The 347 Channels are known for their excellent weldability and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making them suitable for pressure-containing and heat-exposed structural applications.
