S890QL steel plates and sheets are quenched and tempered structural steels with minimum 890 MPa yield strength. The chemical composition is usually carbon (max 0.20%), manganese (max 1.70%), and alloying elements like chromium, molybdenum, nickel, and boron to improve hardenability and toughness. These sheets provide tensile strength in the range of 940-1100 MPa with minimum elongation of around 13%. S890QL also has excellent impact resistance, tested at -40°C, and very good weldability. The combination of high strength and good fabrication characteristics makes it perfect for high-load bearing components.
