Monel K500 plates and sheets are nickel-copper alloys made up mainly of about 63% nickel and 28-34% copper, with minor additions of aluminum, titanium, and iron to increase strength by age hardening. The alloy possesses high tensile strength usually between 800-1100 MPa and superior resistance to corrosion in seawater and acids. Monel K500 has excellent mechanical properties with good weldability and toughness, and it is ideal for parts under high stress and corrosive environments.
