Inconel 718 channels are nickel superalloys with a composition of about 50-55% nickel, 17-21% chromium, and additions of iron, niobium, molybdenum, and titanium. The composition provides exceptional tensile strength up to 1,270 MPa and superior creep and fatigue strengths up to 700°C (1292°F). The alloy provides excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance coupled with good weldability and machinability. Inconel 718 retains mechanical properties under harsh thermal and mechanical stresses, which makes it a best fit for high-demand engineering applications.
