Inconel 617 plate and sheet are nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloys with around 52% nickel, 22% chromium, 13% cobalt, and 9% molybdenum. The alloy composition offers excellent resistance to carburization, oxidation, and high-temperature corrosion up to 1093°C (2000°F). The alloy is exceptional in terms of mechanical strength, creep resistance, and thermal stability and possesses good fabricability and weldability. Inconel 617 also retains toughness and structural integrity in harsh chemical and thermal environments and is suitable for high-performance engineering applications.
