Inconel 601 channels are iron-nickel-chromium alloys with about 61% nickel and 23% chromium, together with iron, aluminum, and carbon additions. The composition offers exceptional resistance to oxidation and carburization up to 1200°C (2192°F). The alloy retains high tensile properties and very good creep resistance following long exposure at elevated temperatures. Inconel 601 also has good fabricability and weldability and can be used for complicated form and demanding applications in severe environments.
