The Duplex Steel Sheet and Plates S31803 are made up of roughly 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, along with trace amounts of nitrogen, manganese, and silicon, all balanced with iron. This unique dual-phase structure of austenite and ferrite provides outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking. On the mechanical side, these sheets and plates boast a high tensile strength of at least 620 MPa, a good yield strength of a minimum of 450 MPa, and remarkable toughness. They also show excellent fatigue resistance, making them ideal for harsh environments, high-pressure applications, and situations that require a long service life with minimal upkeep.
